Great American Seafood Cook-off
Sep 06
Nothings fancy today for me since its saturday and today is the last day of our intramurals at the university. Basically, there are a lot of food booths inside the campus since we are not allowed to go out during the instrmurals duration from 8:00 – 11:30 in the morning and 2:00 – 5:30 in the afternoon.
Actually, this topic just spouted on my mind, to search for seafood recipe since I don’t eat a lot of them ‘coz its expensive not like in the provinces. Along the search, I cross around to this site called, www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com.
According to what I’ve seen and read, it showcases different recipes coming from chefs around the world. Basically its a close competition showcasing each of them using their own style and of course their recipes. As of this moment, competition is over and you may want to cast your votes since few days ago they’ve released the top five best seafood dishes during the cook off challenge.
Based on my own perspective and taste ingredients used should be simple and fresh. No wonder I love the Pan Roasted Glazed Rockfish with Peas and Carrots made by Chef Tafari Campbell from Maryland. I don’t know him personally but I love the stlye of his cooking skills especially seafood dishes. Going back to his recipe, its a combination of taco, pea puree, peas and carrots which is sauted in brown butter together with salt and pepper.
One more thing I should tell you that using domestic seafood are the best since they’re fresh and guaranteed no other chemicals included not like on the exported one which is much expensive and not anymore fresh.
