It’s Fiesta and I Love It!
Dec 28
Hello everyone! Today is December 28, 2008 and it is the feast day of the Sacred Family which is the current name of our “kapilya” or what we so called the small Churches can be found on most villages and or “barangays” here in the Philippines. And so today I will be enumerating the things I love during fiesta.
First and foremost let’s define fiesta. According to Wikipedia, an open source online encyclopedia, Fiesta is a Spanish-derived word for festival, party, celebration, or holiday. So, that basically means a celebration all day long. We usually celebrate by starting a Priest celebrated mass ofcourse on the Chapel that was around by 10:00 in the morning followed by a “salo-salo” for lunch, which will be performed individually on each house.
Why I love fiesta. As fas as I am concerned fiesta is one of the most important days since you are giving a respect to a certain saint or saint(s) which we commemorate his/her birth. And also I love fiesta since there will be a lot of foods. I can also meet my cousins which I haven’t meet them for a long period of time as well as my friends. And lastly, I love fiesta since it’s holiday and there will be no work and or school (if its not over December 23). So guys if you wanna come over to our house to join the birth or the celebration we usually do for almost every year, yes you may just give a signal. Happy fiesta!
