Understanding Types of Text
There have been a lot of text types, that is being implemented as of today. Each of text styles has its goals on why this text should be written and on for what purpose are these texts to be written. Basically, there have been a few text types is currently used and define. These includes the descriptive text type, The narrative text type, The expository text type, The argumentative text type.
Descriptive text type. Based on perception in space. Impressionistic descriptions of landscapes or persons are often to be found in narratives such as novels or short stories.
Narrative text type. Based on perception in time. Narration is the telling of a story; the succession of events is given in chronological order.
Expository text type. It aims at explanation, i.e. the cognitive analysis and subsequent syntheses of complex facts.
Argumentative text type. Based on the evaluation and the subsequent subjective judgement in answer to a problem. It refers to the reasons advanced for or against a matter.
