After a great success of Microsoft Office system, it has been known that Microsoft is ready to release the technical preview of Microsoft Office 2010, a new version which is presented at TechEd during the demo on Windows Server 2008 R2. According to Microsoft Senior Vice President Bill Veghte, Office 2010 will be offered only to selected Technical preview candidate that will extend beyond company’s doors.

On the other hand the first technical preview of Office 2010 will be available on the next seven weeks which will be released in Office Professional Plus tier. As part of the professional plus tier which includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher, and Accounting Express. Versions are going to be released in both 32 and 64 bit for Windows 7, Vista, and XP (service pack 3).

During the morning keynote, attendees witnessed a partial introductory of Office 2010. As observed during the presentation, there have been a few superficial changes to the latest workspace, the office button in the upper left crook was replaced with a boldly-colored tab that represents the recent active office component, that Word’s will be in dark blue, Excel would be green, Powerpoint stays at red, and Outlook is gold. The quick access toolbar has been left a bit at the same time the ribbon stays the same as with its location from previous version of office, and the status bar layout stays at the bottom. Color schemes such as with the silver layout remain dreary and monochromatic.
