WordCamp Philippines 2008: Davao Happenings

Last night, I’ve been WordCamp Philippines in Davao, but unfortunately it was not the real camp just like on other countries but basically a jump start of Matt Mullenweg trip to the Philippines and somehow visit the people in Davao who are using wordpress as either blog, CMS, and other related usage.

Actually there’s no formal program made for the said activity but its just a gathering of WordPress users, developers, and of course the organizers. The program started by giving away WordPress collectibles like  bags, t-shirts, tumblers, and cutomized pens; unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to get all these stuff since bags are given to the first twenty registered campers who arrived early, on the other hand t-shirts, tubmlers, and pens are given to those who introduced their blogs.

Aside from Matt Mullenweg, I got also the chance to meet Bloggie, who organized the camp here in Davao, and somehow meet other people in the I.T. industry and of course some of the bloggers but don’t have the chance to talked to them, so sad.

Anyways, I’ve got some photos here taken during the gathering:

it shouldn’t be a mini-WordCamp but it should be the real WordCamp, new venue for WordCamp Philippines 2009, hopefully! :D
